Bendigo is just 90 minutes travelling by car from Melbourne and is also well serviced by buses and trains.  There is even a small airport located just outside Bendigo for regional airlines.

We suggest you start here as you begin to plan how you will get to Bendigo. If you would like additional assistance, The Bendigo Visitors Centre would be delighted to help you.

Everything in Bendigo is only "just around the corner".  Venues and attractions are close by and easy to get to.  Click here to access a range of maps to help you get around Bendigo and its surrounds.  There will be a shuttle bus between selected accommodation venues and LaTrobe University (see Accommodation options).

Bendigo is rich in its history, particularly in regards to the Gold Rush, as well as rich in its different cultures.  There are lots to see and do in Bendigo, and it is also a great place to begin to explore Australia.  The Bendigo Visitors Centre is a perfect place to start your journey and see what is on offer.
